About the Fund
Started in 2010, the aim of establishing the Build-A-Wheelchair Fund is to support the continued development and access to sports in Asia though research and development. Adopting the universal symbol for individuals with special needs, the wheelchair represents the steely determination of individuals to overcome adversities and embodies the technology that supports every dream.

A whole chair tier costs SG$5000 and half a chair tier costs SG$2500. We aim to sell 100 'chairs' to establish the research fund.
The Build-A-Wheelchair Fund aims to make disability sports more accessible and provides support for new investigators or researchers new to disability sports issues and encourages preliminary, exploratory, or innovative research in new or previously unexamined areas.
Through the fund, advances in technology and advances in cost-effective equipment designs make sports participation more accessible and help developing countries in the region improve sporting standards in Asia so that as many of us, even the less fortunate and well-off, can enjoy an active, sporting lifestyle.
